Now sure, when he started investing, 14k-15k a year was worth 50k-75k in today’s standards. Yet it still wasn’t a huge salary. So, how did he manage it? Well, he invested very smart, long-term. He wanted to make a difference when he died, so he gave it to charity. He isn’t alone. This man was a janitor called Ronald Read who accumulated $8million: This lady was a secretary and accumulated $6m-$8m: You might think these are one-offs

Issues in Nigeria: how dangerous is Nigeria

How dangerous is Nigeria? Originally Answered:  Is Nigeria safe? I presently live in Lagos. My neighbourhood is cool, with medium to top earners, and we often get the luxury of uninterrupted power for a few days. It's a less crowded, less noisy part of the island, and I even have the luxury of fresh air straight from the ocean only that the wind is often too strong, causing me to wake several times in the night because it hits the windows and shakes the roof just too much. If you were to come and attack me right now, it would be me against you, except some neighbours chose to help, and they mostly help but don't try, I've got some belt in Karate, and I schooled in Delta, that's like the training ground for Street-Sense. I do not have the emergency number of the police; neither will they come in time if I did call. They have traffic and other hurdles that could prevent them from coming. And from experience, they are known to show up after a day or two when you made tha

Inspirational words

What was the most bone-chilling sentence a loved one ever said to you? When I was 6 years old, my 22 year brother-in-law raped me. Afterwards, he told me that if I ever tell anyone, it would break my sister’s heart and I would be put in a “home for wayward girls” where I would never see my family again. He continued raping me until I was almost 14, at which point I told my mother (monster). She did nothing about it except to put me on birth control pills so I wouldn’t get pregnant with my sister’s husband’s kid. My sister did nothing except accuse me of enticing him and said the entire thing was all my fault. 50 years after the initial rape and with the help of the State Attorney of Florida, he was arrested for what he did to me. My sister mortgaged their house to bail him out of jail and the SA dismissed the case without prejudice because they could not find any of his other victims who could testify on my behalf. (They were all dead) Coincidence??? I think not. To this day, this ch
